Cabernet Sauvignon

Long time no wine blog! Short time since drinking, but long time since reviewing. 2 wines, though, have made me want to write about them. For anyone out there looking at this, do yourself a favor and get to the store. The first one is such a steal you should buy yourself a case. Lindeman's Bin 45 from southeast Australia. It's got to be the 2005 vintage. You will not be disappointed. Lots of complex flavors and dark fruits. Nice middle and long finish. The best part - it should only cost you about $5 per bottle. This wine got rated an 86 in Wine Spectator magazine which is a very good score.

Second one, a little more expensive, but even better than the Lindeman's is St. Francis, Sonoma County, Vintage 2002 (again - vintage very important). Expect to pay between $20 and $25 for this one, but it will knock you on your butt. Again - very complex flavors that finish well.

Enjoy!
